How to Take an Assessment (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Open the Assessments Hub
- Log in to your student account at app.tutorkamun.com.
- In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click Assessments.
- Browse the Available Assessments catalog to find your subject and level (e.g., GCSE Maths, KS3 Science).
Step 2: Start Your Assessment
- Click Start Assessment on your chosen topic.
- Luna will generate your first diagnostic question based on the curriculum.
Step 3: Answer Diagnostic Questions
Assessments feature two question types:
- Multiple Choice: Select the correct answer from the list and click Submit Answer.
- Short Answer: Type your answer or explanation into the text box and click Submit Answer.
Step 4: Review Instant Feedback
After each submission, Luna provides:
- A clear correctness indicator and score.
- Helpful, constructive feedback explaining the concept and tips for remembering it.
- Click Next Question when you are ready to continue.
Step 5: View Your Diagnostic Report & Next Steps
When you answer the final question, click View Results & Recommendations to open your report:
- Luna’s Personalized Summary: A friendly overview of your overall performance and strengths.
- Subject & Topic Mastery Breakdown:

Understanding Your Mastery Levels
Your diagnostic report breaks down your results into three distinct mastery tiers:

Yes. All completed assessments remain in your Past Assessments list. Click View Results at any time to review Luna’s breakdown and recommended tutors.
Can I retake an assessment?
Yes. You can start a new assessment from the catalog at any time. Because Luna dynamically generates questions, you will receive fresh questions each time.
What should I do after completing an assessment?
We recommend:
- Reviewing your Needs Focus topics.
- Starting one of the Recommended AI Lessons to reinforce the concepts right away.
- Booking a session with a Recommended Human Tutor if you want deep-dive explanations and practice exam questions.
