Task Management 📝
The Task Management system on tutorkamun bridges live tutoring sessions and independent study. Tutors assign targeted homework and practice tasks, students complete work between sessions, and parents maintain full visibility into submission deadlines and grades.
Task Lifecycle & Workflow
- Creation: The tutor creates a task with title, instructions, reference assets, and a due date.
- Notification: The student receives an in-app and email notification regarding the assigned task.
- Completion: The student views the task details, completes the required work, and clicks Mark as Complete.
- Review & Scoring: The tutor receives a notification under Pending Review, reviews the work, assigns a grade (0–100%), and writes feedback.
- Score Publication: The student and parent see the updated grade, feedback, and recalculated average score.

Scoring & Grade Indicators
Tutorkamun utilizes a standardized percentage grading system (0–100%):

| 90 – 100% | 🟢 Green | Excellent Mastery: Concepts fully understood |
| 70 – 89% | 🟡 Yellow | Good Performance: Minor errors; concept understood |
| 50 – 69% | 🟠 Orange | Satisfactory: Needs additional practice |
| Below 50% | 🔴 Red | Needs Attention: Recommend review in next session |
Average Score Calculation
The student's dashboard displays an Average Task Score, calculated dynamically as the average of all graded assignments.
Integration with AI Session Notes
Tutors can generate tasks directly from live session outcomes:
- After a live session or AI-Led lesson, the tutor summarizes weak areas in the session notes.
- With one click, the tutor converts suggested practice points into assigned tasks with pre-populated instructions.

🎓 Student Actions
- View all assigned tasks sorted by due date in the Tasks tab.
- Read tutor instructions and reference materials.
- Click Mark as Complete upon finishing work.
- Track individual grades and personal average score trends.
👨👩👧 Parent Oversight
- Monitor outstanding tasks across all linked children.
- Receive "Needs Attention" notifications for overdue assignments or low scores (<70%).
- View historical task completion rates to ensure accountability.
👨🏫 Tutor Features
- Create and assign tasks to individual students or student groups.
- Set custom due dates and attach reference assets or whiteboard links.
- Grade submissions (0–100%) and leave constructive feedback comments.
