Welcome to tutorkamun! As a parent or guardian, you have full oversight over your family's tutoring journey. From a single secure dashboard, you can manage child profiles, monitor academic progress, manage session credits, and approve scheduling requests.
Setting Up Your Parent Account
- Visit app.tutorkamun.com and click Sign Up.
- Select Parent as your account type.
- Enter your email address and create a secure password.
- Complete your profile details.
- Click the verification link sent to your email inbox to activate your account.
- Log in to access your Parent Dashboard.
Linking & Managing Your Children
You can link and oversee multiple children from a single parent account.
Adding a New Child Profile
- Navigate to Children from the sidebar menu.
- Click Add Child.
- Enter your child's full name, email address, and academic level.
- An invitation link will be sent to your child's email to complete their student profile.
Linking to an Existing Student Account
Credit-Based Tutoring & Billing Management
tutorkamun operates on a transparent Credit-Based Tutoring Model, giving you complete control over tutoring expenses without unexpected charges.
How Session Credits Work
- 1 Credit = 1 Standard Tutoring Session (or partial credits depending on session duration).
- Purchasing Credits: Buy credit packages or set up convenient recurring monthly plans from the Billing & Credits screen.
- Allocating Credits: Assign purchased credits directly to your children's profiles so they can book sessions with their tutors.
Payment Authorizations & Overrides
If a payment hold or session booking alert occurs (e.g., due to an updated payment method delay), parents have direct controls:
- Go to Billing & Credits -> Needs Attention.
- View pending holds or manual approval requests.
- Select Authorize Payment or Apply Payment Override to grant immediate session approval or allocate temporary session credits.
Session Approvals & Cancellation Rules
To ensure complete parental oversight, session bookings and schedule changes can be configured to require parent confirmation.
Approving Session Requests
- When a tutor or student proposes a new session, an alert appears in your Needs Attention widget.
- Review the session details (Date, Time, Subject, Tutor, Credit Cost).
- Click Approve Session or Decline.
Approving Reschedule Proposals
If a tutor proposes a rescheduled time:
- Review the proposed time in your Pending Approvals list.
- Click Approve Reschedule or request a different time.
Cancellation Window Policy
- Cancellation Rules: Sessions cancelled before the standard cancellation window (typically 24 hours prior) return session credits back to your parent balance automatically.
- Late cancellations within the cutoff window may forfeit session credit according to platform policy.
Monitoring Progress & Academic Health
The Parent Dashboard provides aggregate and per-child progress metrics:

Grade Indicators

Communicating with Tutors
Maintain direct communication with your children's tutors:
- Click Messages in the sidebar.
- Select the relevant tutor from your connected contacts.
- Send text messages regarding progress reports, schedule adjustments, or learning goals.
